Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our testing, accreditation and sample handling. Can't find your answer? Get in touch — we're happy to help.

What is the average turnaround time for an analysis?

Standard turnaround depends on the type of analysis. Black Sea grain and oilseed samples can be tested within 24–36 hours upon request, and expedited testing is available for urgent shipments.

Is SwissAgrilab accredited?

Yes. SwissAgrilab is an ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory, and is approved by GAFTA and FOSFA. This ensures our analytical methods are reliable, traceable and internationally recognised.

Are your reports recognised internationally?

Yes. Because we are ISO 17025-accredited and GAFTA/FOSFA-approved, our certificates are accepted by traders, processors and authorities across the markets we serve.

Can I ensure full traceability of my sample?

Absolutely. Every sample is registered on arrival with a unique identifier, ensuring full traceability throughout analysis in line with ISO standards.

Can you collect samples for me?

Yes. We organise sample collection across the Black Sea region — including Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria — supported by the Saybolt field-inspection network.

Which commodities and matrices do you test?

Grains and cereals, oilseeds, vegetable oils and fats, food products, animal feed and soil. See the Industries page for typical analyses in each sector.

How do I request a quote?
